XfX Enhancer

The Xpression fX enhancer is used to expand the functionality of, and give universal connectivity to a standard expression pedal.

A standard TRS expression pedal is connected to the enhancer. The pedal then takes on the features and universal connectivity, of the enhancer.

There are two models – TRS and MIDI. The two models are physically identical except for the main connection socket. The TRS model is designed to connect to foot controller ports on effect units, MIDI controllers and keyboards. The MIDI model is designed to connect to 5-pin DIN MIDI receive sockets on effects units, keyboards and other devices with MIDI receive capability.

TRS

A standard TRS expression pedal is connected to the TRS enhancer. The pedal then takes on the features of the enhancer including –

  • Minimum depth
  • Maximum depth
  • sensitivity
  • ON/OFF
  • Bidirectional sweep
  • Reverse sweep
  • Linear, logarithmic & anti-logarithmic sweep
  • Pedal record
  • Manual ADSR (oscillator)
  • Triggered ADSR (oscillator)
  • Pedal controlled ADSR (oscillator)

In addition the output of the enhancer provides universal connectivity to foot controller sockets on effects units and the like, including –

  • TRS
  • RTS
  • TS
  • CV (control voltage – 4 volt)
  • 50kohm, 25kohm and 10kohm compatibility

MIDI

The MIDI model provides the same features as the TRS model but without the foot controller socket and instead has a 5-pin MIDI connector for connecting to the MIDI receive socket on keyboards, effect units and other MIDI receive devices.
